EUPROMETA – 33rd Doctoral School on Metamaterials, 3-6 April 2017 - CRPP
du lundi 03 avril 2017 au jeudi 06 avril 2017The XXXIII Edition of the Distributed Doctoral School on Metamaterials will be held on April 3-6, 2017 in Bordeaux, France. The school, organized by Centre de Recherche Paul Pascal and METAMORPHOSE VI AISBL, will be focused on Metasurfaces.

Metasurfaces constitute a special class of optically thin metamaterials of growing interest. They are generally composed of two-dimensional assemblies of resonant sub-wavelength elements which may provide large phase jumps to a light wave with limited losses. A full control of the reflected and transmitted fields may hence be reached with metasurfaces of appropriate designs. The course – taught by eminent scientists working in the fields of electromagnetic metamaterials and metasurfaces (from microwaves to optics),– aims at reviewing the basic principles on the theory, design, experiments and applications of metasurfaces.
The course is aimed at post-graduate research students in Physics, Material Science, and
Engineering, as well as at academic and industrial experts, who are interested in the manipulation of electromagnetic waves with metasurfaces.
