ABSTRACT
Integrative chemistry based strategies allow through the deep knowledge of materials chemistry and processing the birth of the molecular engineering of advanced nanomaterials. In this context, drug delivery nanosystems, biocatalysts, biosensors, probes for imaging have been increasingly investigated these last years. The use of silica-based nanomaterials in this context is a very promising approach. A few examples of sol-gel derived materials developped in the Hybrid and Nanomaterials team will be presented.
